✈️ Singapore Extends VTL to Thailand, Maldives, Turkey, Cambodia, Fiji & Sri Lanka
Singapore has expanded its Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) network once again. The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) has officially announced the addition of six new countries to the programme — Cambodia, Fiji, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Turkey.
🗓️ Key Effective Dates
According to CAAS:
- Thailand — VTL begins 14 December 2021
- Cambodia, Fiji, Maldives, Sri Lanka & Turkey — VTL begins 16 December 2021
Under the VTL, fully vaccinated travellers may enter Singapore without quarantine, requiring only mandatory COVID-19 testing.
“With this extension, Singapore’s VTL quota will increase from 10,000 to 15,000 travellers daily.”
🌏 Why These Countries?
These destinations were among the most popular for Singaporean travellers before the pandemic. Many of them have now reopened their borders to vaccinated travellers:
- Thailand reopened to vaccinated travellers from over 60 countries on 1 November 2021.
- Cambodia reopened fully to vaccinated travellers on 15 November 2021.
- Turkey has already been open to quarantine-free travel for Singaporeans.
These additions strengthen Singapore’s aviation links and reconnect travellers with key tourism and business hubs across the region.
🌐 Total VTL Countries Now at 27
With the latest expansion, the number of active and upcoming VTL partners rises to 27 countries, including:
- Australia, Canada, France, Germany, South Korea, United Kingdom, United States
- Finland, India, Indonesia, Malaysia (from 29 Nov)
- Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE (from 6 Dec)
- Thailand (from 14 Dec)
- Cambodia, Fiji, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Turkey (from 15 Dec)
