Sea of Forest — Mondulkiri’s Green Ocean

🌲 Sea of Forest — Mondulkiri’s Green Ocean

In the highlands of Mondulkiri, famous for its elephants and rolling plateaus, there is a breathtaking natural viewpoint known as the Sea of Forest. It is not made of water, but of endless green waves of trees stretching across the horizon like a living ocean.

From above, the forest appears to move like waves when the wind blows, creating a magical illusion of a green sea flowing across the mountains.

🌳 A Moving Landscape

From viewpoints near Ou Reang district, the forest spreads endlessly like green waves. During sunrise or sunset, mist often covers the treetops, creating the feeling of ocean tides floating across the land.

🚶 A Moment of Silence

Whether arriving by motorbike, hiking trail, or visiting nearby indigenous communities, the Sea of Forest invites travelers to pause. It is not only a viewpoint, but an emotional experience that reminds us of our smallness within vast nature.
